Germania is a faction on AlphaPlace founded by M4GIC_BUBBEL. Germania is divided into two parts, the first of which consists of several small and larger Redstone constructions, the second and much larger part consists of the city "Germania" which is based on the German Empire (1871 - 1918).

History:

Germania was founded on 20/09/2020. In the beginning, the faction was called "RedMagic" and only consisted of a small 4-bit calculator which served as a "proof of concept". Shortly after the first calculator was completed, it was torn down and the materials were used to build the calculator known today as the C-1. The C-1 was completed on 10/05/2024, a short time later the expansion to 6-bit began and thus the possibility to calculate all numbers between 0 and 63. The C-1 was destroyed on 07/02/2021 and could not be repaired for the next three years. To this day, the grief of the C-1 calculator is probably the biggest grief in AlphaPlace history. After the C-1 was destroyed it became very inactive in Germania for the next three years as M4GIC_BUBBEL left the server. At the end of 2023, work in Germania was resumed and the C-1 calculator was fully repaired by M4GIC_BUBBEL by 10/04/2024 and "RedMagic" was rebranded to "Germania" as we know it today. On 30/04/2024 the construction of the C-3 calculator was started, which was to be able to calculate through a whole 8-bit. The city of Germania was started on 26/04/2024 and has been built continuously since then.

Germania City:

The city of Germania is a part of the faction of the same name which stretches over a wide area, Germania is built in a German architectural style and is based on the German Empire which existed from 1871 - 1918. Germania is characterised by megalomania, perfection, symmetry and details which can be seen especially in some buildings or areas. In the centre is the Reichstag, which is particularly eye-catching due to its size and appearance, with the imperial eagle in front of it. The imperial eagle is the centre of Germania and the north, west and south axes, which can be regarded as the main streets, branch off from it. The southern axis leads directly to the wall of the DDR and passes the market square of Germania. In addition to the StarGate, the West Axis can also be seen as the entry point for Germania and leads directly to the Redstone area of Germania, with the central railway line crossing the West Axis on the way there. The North Axis is currently the longest road in Germania and currently leads past most of the houses as well as the central warehouse and the church. At the end of the North Axis is the "Blaukorn" project site, where an as yet unpublished project will be created in the future. The central railway line runs through the whole of Germania and is currently not finished or ready for use. In the south-west of Germania there is a lake on which a lighthouse stands, which is characterised
by a generous block palette, detailed transitions and a complicated redstone light bulb system. The flashing of the lighthouse can be switched on and off by a switch inside the lighthouse,
at night it illuminates the area around the lake and can be seen from anywhere.

First Calculator C-0:

The first calculator (C-0) from M4GIC_BUBBEL was built on 20/09/2020 within a few hours and served only as a "proof of concept" and test mechanism, the C-0 had a binary input and a simple 4-bit adder which made it possible to calculate numbers from 0 - 14, in addition the C-0 had a simple 3-bit register which converted binary input into BCD signals and communicated them to a single 7 segment display. Due to the lack of a second 7 segment unit, only values from 0-9 and letters such as C, E, L or even F could be displayed. After some things were tested with the C-0, the C-0 was torn down and the materials for the C-1 were stored.

C-1 Calculator

The C-1 is the second calculator from M4GIC_BUBBEL and the first attempt to build a full-featured calculator with complex functions, the C-1 has a 6-bit full adder with RAM memory which can store current values and reuse them for later purposes. The C-1 is based on a register system in which all possible output values from 0 - 63 are hard-wired. This system has the advantage that it is particularly easy to build and is very clear compared to double dabble/converter computers, the big disadvantage of such a system is the size factor which doubles with every bit. The C-1 is a complete in-house development, individual parts such as registers and RAM have been optimised from the ground up for AlphaPlace and are therefore 100% compatible. On 07/02/2021 the C-1 was covered by kinoboo with a lavacast and completely destroyed, a rollback was not possible because the C-1 consists of cobble just like the lavacast, due to the grief the C-1 was classified as irreparable and the project was abandoned. In 2023, work on the C-1 was resumed and the C-1 was completely restored over a period of months. Today, the C-1 can be viewed and tested again in all its splendour at ./warp calculators. - some information: Binary input 6-bit, 6-bit full-adder, 6-bit RAM, register based system.

C-2 Calculator

The C-2 calculator was a failed project by M4GIC_BUBBEL. It was a 16-bit calculator which should be able to handle addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and exceed a maximum value of 65,000, the C-2 was based on the double dabble algorithm and could therefore convert high numbers and process them quickly in a compact design. The C-2 failed due to Uberbukkit V1 which removed random redstone torches in the converter, making it impossible to continue the project. Some remnants of the C-2 still exist but it has been partially demolished.

C-3 Calculator

The C-3 calculator is an unfinished project by M4GIC_BUBBEL and the newest calculator in Germania. The C-3 works just like the C-2 with the double dabble principle to achieve the highest possible values in the smallest possible space. So far the C-3 consists of a triple 7 segment, an 8 bit double dabble number converter and an unfinished multiplication module. After completion, the C-3 is intended to present a further possibility for processing numbers and tasks in MC Alpha and to serve as a stimulus for the possibilities on the AlphaPlace server. With the 8-bit BIN to BCD module, the first fully functional number converter module has been created on AlphaPlace which serves as a demo module. The C-3 will be able to process a general bandwidth of 8-bit very quickly, both the multiplication module and the division module will take up most of the space on the C-3 as they are extremely large and complex. The C-3 was launched on 30/04/2024 and all progress can be followed on YouTube.

You can find a YouTube playlist for the C-3 under this link: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTYP69PDC1BDYg99utaze-zPHISbNrgA0&si=Ss2S3aum5lX9BF0D

C-4 Calculator

The C-4 calculator is a planned project which was designed by Majkel5 and will be realised by M4GIC_BUBBEL. The C-4 should be equipped like a real computer with CPU/RAM and memory modules which work in the 4-bit range. Due to the special construction the C-4 can process and display numbers in the 7-digit range. The display and calculation of the numbers works by the C-4 breaking down the larger numbers into small 4-bit parts and then calculating them with its 4-bit CPU. The output of the CPU is intended to serve as a demo object and show that real computers can be implemented on AlphaPlace.
