Wiki quickstart guide

This is a collection of tips for this wiki, which uses MediaWiki as its backend.
If you want to create an account, join the Discord server, head to 🗨️wiki-stuff → "Wiki account request & password reset thread" and follow the instructions. Only do it if you're interested and willing to contribute.

Editing

• Reference the MW cheatsheet for formatting instructions.
  
• You can edit a page by selecting Edit in the top-right corner of the page.
  
• You can create a new page by appending the new article's name in this URL: https://wiki.alphaplace.net/index.php/ (Example: April_Fool's_Events)
  
• To upload images:
  • MsUpload: Drag image files into the Drop files here field in the editor window.
  • Special:Upload
    • File names should be descriptive. (Noggisoggi-being-lazy.png and NOT image.png nor 2026-04-06-09-52-15-PM.png)
• Reference other pages on the wiki for how stuff should be formatted. Specific pages:
  • Germania, Economy, OldSpawn4
