The AlphaPlace client is a modification for Minecraft Alpha v1.2.6 that uses the Uberbukkit client mod as a base to extend & update the multiplayer capabilities of a1.2.6, fixing many bugs & vulnerabilities while adding new features.
It uses its own protocol version and thus, is not compatible with normal Alpha v1.2.6 or Beta 1.1_02 servers.
