That's when he changed the faction name multiple times ranging from "People's Republic of Light" to "People's Vanguard of Unity" (PVU). It was ultimately that he decided to go with East Germany, when he caught wind of {{user|M4GIC_BUBBEL}}, who just so happen to be German aswell, and his establishment of a faction with a somewhat opposite ideology.

Like many communist/socialist countries in real life, high rise apartment blocks (also called commieblocks) were constructed primarly out of stone. Next to them, a statue of the emblem of East Germany consisting of a hammer and a compass was built aswell.

When [[OldSpawn4]] got released in March 2021,[[Soosland]]‎‎ still was a very small faction. Initially there were a lot of other factions nearby, but almost everyone moved on with other things. Today there are only [[BroHut2]] and other small factions left, many of them have become ruins, for an example [[Loginstoon]] by the player [[User:Stoohp|Stoohp]] which by the way is still maintained by {{user|soos_YT}}.

==== Creation ====
The town was officially founded on March 16. 2021, when [[User:soos YT|soos YT]] wantet to start a new project after soosLand (former faction at oldspawn3). [[User:soos YT|soos YT]] offered all the new players the chance to build buildings protectet by the powerfull Wall of [[Soosland]].The faction also used to be called susland but later on it got changed back. Since then, many players joined the faction and build their own structure.

During the construction of [[Soosland]], there was a crisis. The administration decided to remove the shop completely, to fix the economy. This delayed the construction until a new solution was found to get wood as fast as possible. in the beginning they tried to get the wood faster with the help of tree farms, but this was also a big effort in the long run. Finally a new shop system was introduced, with which wood and other materials can now be bought from other players in shops.

The faction has also started to use the free space in Soosland's wall by offering rooms to players. Some players took advantage of the opportunity but most of it is still empty today.

==== The BroHut2 Alliance ====
On July 2021, The Faction [[BroHut2]] lead by the player {{user|Mrfofo}} and [[Soosland]] started an alliance. The goal from now on was to build the protective wall around [[BroHut2]] and the new spawn area ([[OldSpawn4]]). [[User:soos YT|soos YT]] also took over the most small [[factions]] near by, many buildings were build. Many buildings got updated and rebuilt, also a watchtower got added. Later [[Soosland]] got connectet to the main metro system of [[OldSpawn4]]. The new system brought many new players to the faction. The underground metro leads under the [[OldSpawn4]] and [[BroHut2]].

The faction also got a pool donated by [[BroHut2]] the pool was a gift for our very close cooperation. The pool is also known as Moogers-pool. The word Mooger became known through the [[Discordserver]] of the same name [[MoogersPlace]] where many [[AlphaPlace]] players spent their time on.

Today there are only [[BroHut2]] and other small factions left, many of them have become ruins, for an example [[Loginstoon]] by the player [[User:Stoohp|Stoohp]] which by the way is still maintained by {{user|soos_YT}}.

==== Creation ====
The town was officially founded on March 16. 2021, when [[User:soos YT|soos YT]] wantet to start a new project aufter soosLand (former faction at oldspawn3). [[User:soos YT|soos YT]] offered all the new players the chance to build buildings protectet by the powerfull Wall of [[Soosland]].The faction also used to be called susland but later on it got changed back. Since then, many players joined the faction and build their own structure.

During the construction of [[Soosland]], there was a crisis. The administration decided to remove the shop completely, to fix the economy. This delayed the construction until a new solution was found to get wood as fast as possible. in the beginning they tried to get the wood faster with the help of tree farms, but this was also a big effort in the long run. Finally a new shop system was introduced, with which wood and other materials can now be bought from other players in shops.

The faction has also started to use the free space in Soosland's wall by offering rooms to players. Some players took advantage of the opportunity but most of it is still empty today.

==== The BroHut2 Aalienze ====
On July 2021, The Faction [[BroHut2]] lead by the player {{user|Mrfofo}} and [[Soosland]] started an aalienze. The goal from now on was to build the protective wall around [[BroHut2]] and the new spawn arrea ([[OldSpawn4]]). [[User:soos YT|soos YT]] also took over the most small [[factions]] near by, many buildings were build. Many buildings got updated and rebuilt, also a watchtower got added. Later [[Soosland]] got connectet to the main metro system of [[OldSpawn4]]. The new system brought many new players to the faction. The underground metro leads under the [[OldSpawn4]] and [[BroHut2]].

The faction also got a pool donated by [[BroHut2]] the pool was a gift for our very close cooperation. The pool is also known as Moogers-pool. The word Mooger became known through the [[Discordserver]] of the same name [[MoogersPlace]] where many [[AlphaPlace]] players spent their time on.

In october 2022 [[soos YT]], [[Mrfofo]] and {{user|minecrafter21341|minecrafter21341}} (better known as LifeIsStrange) decided to make a Youtube video where all three of them build a house for [[Soosland]]. The Video got Uploaded on Mrfofo's channel [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zhnl0arWsWM&ab_channel=mrfofo]

Currently, the faction is still alive. [[User:soos YT|soos YT]] and some loyal players are still building on the project. He is also building on [[Soosland2]] the followup of [[Soosland]].

Under the name "LightRepublic", [[O8GC]] (who originally joined as _chrisleighton) created the faction which was meant to be nothing but a castle with a village to house his faction members. While partially achieved, O8GC wanted, unlike many other factions, to base his faction on an ideology which later become socialism. That's when he changed the faction name multiple times ranging from "People's Republic of Light" to "People's Vanguard of Unity" '''(PVU)'''. It was ultimately that he decided to go with East Germany, when he caught wind of [[M4GIC_BUBBEL]], who just so happen to be German aswell, and his establishment of a faction with a somewhat opposite ideology.

After the faction has become the DDR, the continuation of the castle was halted (although it is still in use today). Like many communist/socialist countries in real life, high rise apartment blocks (also called commieblocks) were constructed primarly out of stone. Next to them, a statue of the emblem of East Germany consisting of a hammer and a compass was built aswell.

The main reason why the faction has changed its location and moved right next to [[Germania]] was the idea of constructing the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Wall/ Berlin Wall]. Not only would it be historically accurate, but it would also be somewhat of a sightseeing for visitors of Germania. With the help of Germania, a lot of terraforming on the future territory of the DDR was done. There eventually was enough space to start the construction of the border wall between the two factions consisting of two walls with fences and watchtowers in between.

The only things happening at the moment are the extention of the wall, the construction of apartmentblocks and terraforming. Things like monuments and non-residential buildings will come up in the future.
